Need of power

Lord, I am powerless

I am powerless in face of the illness that those I love suffer from and which my own body contains.

I am powerless in face of the death of those I love.

I am powerless in the face of people who abandon me.

I am powerless before loss friendships.

I am powerless against insane thinking.

I am powerless before my own brokenness.

Lord, you are my only hope and strength in all of this powerlessness. Without you I can do nothing.

Help me today. I surrender my fears and struggles to you and seek your presence to provide and preserve me through all I face.

Lord have mercy, Christ have mercy, Lord have mercy.
