In your light let me see light

You have told me to expect difficult times. When I was younger I thought I had experienced difficult times. But there are mamy different types of difficult times and when you think you have seen it all then something you never have seen comes. But you have told me that this is to be expected. It is life in a fallen world. Broken by my sin. Broken by our sin. Broken by sin. Everything is so broken by sin. It is not surprising LORD OF LIFE that you have a broken heart.

At times there seems so little of your light gets to me. The shadows of the pain, hurting, and darkness are so great that they block out any ability to make sense of what is happening. The world is filled with lies and deception. To trust is dangerous since even sheep have teeth and can bite. There really is no safe place here. That is part of the brokeness of everything. No safe place but with you. You alone are safe.

ONE beyond my wildest dreams of who you are be a FATHER to me today. Hold me close in your embrace because of the death of CHRIST for me today. Lift up my bent spirit and encourge my worn out soul. YOU are my only hope. YOU are my only refuge. YOU are the only one who can get me through.

Forgive me for my lack of love. I feel so bad that I failed to love as I should have loved. I fear that I have failed love even more than I recognize. LORD OF MERCY have mercy on me and teach me to love.
